L'organisateur du "Live 8", Bob Geldof reçoit le Prix Nobel de la Paix 2005. 25 ans après avoir lancé son "Live Aid", Geldof reçoit les honneurs, reçu des mains de l'ex leader de l'ex Union Sovietique, Mikael Gorbachev. Le prix sera remis à Rome en novembre. Le DVD "Live 8" proposera des images des concerts animés par U2, Robbie Williams, Sir Paul McCartney et Coldplay. Dans les bacs le 7 novembre.   Blur confirme un nouvel album pour la fin de l'année Damon Albarn, Leader du groupe Blur a dévoilé qu'il avait prévu un nouvel album pour fin 2005. Bono a dédicacé certaines chansons à Risa Parks, qui nous a quitté lundi dernier, à l'age de 92 ans. Le leader de U2 a déclaré sur "One", la raison pour laquelle il été passionné par cette femme : "because of her quiet dignity and strength, America became a better, changed country. This song is dedicated to the mother of American civil rights movement, Rosa Parks. God Bless you in your rest." U2 a aussi dédicacé la chanson "Pride (In The Name Of Love)", déclarant en intro : "Where The Streets Have No Name" by saying: "From Rosa Parks in America to Nelson Mandela in Africa."   System Of A Down remixe pour un jeu vidéo Le leader du groupe... ... System Of A Down, Serj Tankian, remixe une reprise de Notorius B.I.G., "Who Shot Ya". Cette chanson figure sur la bande son du jeu de Marc Ecko, "Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure".   Pink Floyd : un DVD à posséder absolument Le mythique ... ... "Dark Side Of the Moon" fait l'objet d'un DVD qui sort cette année. L'album qui a été enregistré en 1973 apparaît en version live sur le 2ème DVD, accompagné d'image backstage et inédites. Le premier DVD est consacré à un live enregistré pendant la tournée "Division Bell" en 1994, au "Earl's Court" de Londres. Pour le design, Pink Floyd a fait appel à un vieille collaboration, Storm Thorgersen.   DVD : Killswitch Engage Le groupe, Killswitch Engage sort un DVD intituled "(Set This) World Ablaze", le 22 novembre, chez "Roadrunner Records". Un film enregistré au Palladium de Worcestor le 25 juillet. La réalisation a été confiée à Lex Halaby qui a travaillé avec Chimaira et Mudvayne.
