Selon le site www.thecure.com, Robert Smith et son groupe participeront au festival Californien qui se déroulera le 1er et le 2 mai, au "Empire Polo Field" de Indio. D'autres groupes sont au programme : Radiohead, Kraftwerk les Pixies, le groupe français Air et les Flaming Lips. L'année dernière cette manifestation animée par Blur, Libertines, Hives, Beastie Boys et Mars Volta, avait attiré 68 000 fans.   Les Red Hot feront trois concerts en Angleterre, L'été prochain Ces concerts font partie de la prochaine tournée Européenne des Red Hot Chili Peppers. Près de 85 000 fans sont attendus. Anthony Kiedis leader du groupe a déclaré : "We're really looking forward to getting back to the UK. We had a great time performing there last summer. The British fans are fantastic, so its going to be amazing to perform in front of such a massive crowd in Hyde Park...The Queen's backyard! And it'll be good to play the stadiums when we return to Manchester and Edinburgh." Le groupe compose du bassiste et chanteur Les Claypool, du guitariste Larry LeLonde et du batteur Tim Alexander ont prévu d'interpréter les chansons de leur catalogue et notamment celle figurant sur l'album "Sailing the Seas of Cheese" enregistré en 1991 (Interscope). Claypool a déclaré : "We're all feeling each other out. I can't imagine it won't continue on, [but] it's sort of undefined at this point. If you do something for a long time, it becomes a bit tiresome. But we're rediscovering this stuff. This is some insane music. That type of thing inspires me." Jonny Greenwood a déclaré : "I was in the Radiohead studio just a couple of hours ago. Phil (Selway) was there drumming and recording and Thom has been in and out. We don't take time off very well.
