L'album sera dans les bacs à l'automne. Martin Slattery et Scott Shields des Mescaleros, terminent le mixage de ce qui fera suite à "Global A Go-Go", sorti en 2001. 11 nouvelles chansons composent l'album, ainsi qu'une reprise de Bob Marley, "Redemption Song". Strummer avait déclaré l'année dernière : "We've gotta record them straight away." He added that he wanted to "bang into the studio and knock them down. Musicians memories are very short." Slattery a ajouté : "I want it to be as close to what Joe wanted as possible."   Les Deux Tours : deux éditions, dont une version Prestige. Les fans du film, pourront se procurer le film, à partir du 26 août, mais pour les cinéphiles, fous de bonus, il faudra attendre l'automne, pour bénéficier de la version Collector (4 DVD) et de ses 42 minutes de scènes coupées ! King enrôle Jeff Beck Après Eric Clapton, c'est au tour de Jeff Beck d'accompagné le talentueux BB King. Le guitariste des Yardbirds, suivra King, pendant toute sa tournée, cet été. Départ de Las Vegas, le 25 juillet, fin de la virée, le 7 septembre, de Andersen, en Caroline du Sud. BB King a déclaré au sujet de Beck : "He's a talented young man. He plays so well. Sometimes I listen to him before I record and wonder how he comes up with some of the ideas he has." King a beaucoup influencé Beck qui a déclaré : "I've been listening to him since 19. Beck a ajouté qu'il ferait quelques concerts, aux alentours du 20 août. Actuellement en tournée aux States, pour la promotion de son album "Sea Change", Beck fera un arrêt au "The Point" de Dublin, le 25 août.   The Hives : retour en studio ! Le groupe, The Hives va donner une suite à son "YOUR NEW FAVOURITE BAND", sorti l'année dernière. Pelle Almqvist, chanteur du groupe a déclaré, qu'il avait en stock une centaine de chansons et que ses fans pouvaient compter sur un nouvel album, avant la fin de l'année : "I'd like to describe the work we are doing on the new record as going well, weller and wellest..It's a highly potent mix of the kind of elusive and innocent yet brutal fingertip feel magic that only The Hives are able to bring." Il a ajouté : "As I speak a large proportion of the world's population are awaiting miracles and magic by a divine power. The Hives deliver when they want to." Dans une interview accordée à X-Ray magazine, le musicien a déclaré que l'enregistement de son nouvel album, ne prendrait que quelques semaines : "actual recording was pretty simple, most of the songs are two to three minutes, and it takes two to three minutes to record them."   Paul Stanley travaille en solo Le co-leader du groupe Kiss, Paul Stanley, enregistre son premier album solo, en plus de 25 ans. Gene Simmons, chanteur et bassiste de Kiss, planche aussi sur un projet en solo. Paul Stanley a déclaré qu'il travaillait avec d'autres paroliers, dont Andreas Carlsson, qui a signé les chansons de Celine Dion, Bon Jovi, Backstreet Boys, LeAnn Rimes, Britney Spears et 'N Sync. : "He's a great writer, and, actually, a big Kiss fan. It's in the process of being shaped." Son album devrait voir le jour l'année prochaine : "I'm a big believer that, if a song doesn't make it on an album, there's a reason, and to dig up something that's been sitting around for 10 or 15 years doesn't seem worth it, because at some point, sure, it can see the light of day, just by default. And that's not enough reason. I believe if something gets rejected time and time again, it probably doesn't belong on an album." Il a ajouté : "I also like to think that a song is like a fresh issue of a magazine or a newspaper. Ya know, the ink is still wet because it's current. Recycling old stuff, to me, is not of any interest, because as life goes on, there are new experiences to draw from." Stanley et Simmons ont mené de nombreux projets en solo. Pour son nouvel album, Simmons a co-écrit certaines de ses chansons, avec Bob Dylan et Frank Zappa. Il s'est approché de groupes, tels que Axl Rose, Trey Anastasio de Phish, et John Mellencamp. Stanley a aussi donné le détail de la prochaine tournée Kiss/Aerosmith : "It looks like it's gonna keep extending, and rightfully so. It's an exciting bill, and people, not only in America, but in Australia, Japan, and other countries, are very interested in it. It's a fun, exciting package that the people really didn't expect. It's going to be a great night of music, of arguably the two premier American rock bands of the last 25 years. We realize we could never be Aerosmith, and they realize they could never be Kiss. The beauty is that both bands have thrived and survived for 30 years. So, with this revolving stage, and with both of us going out to give 110%, the fans win and we win. I can't think of a better way to spend an evening. Hopefully, [the tour] won't end until everybody says, 'Enough!'"
