Brian May, guitariste du groupe, a déclaré au sujet du DVD : "It's been a voyage of rediscovery. What impresses me most is the spontaneity. You can see us kind of eyeing each other to see what to do next. We were a great partnership." May et le batteur Roger Taylor auront peut être envie de reprendre la route, avec quelques autres musicians. Ils devront de toute façon trouver un remplaçant à l'irremplaçable , emporté par le SIDA, en 1992. Taylor a admis vouloir remonter sur scène : "We're getting closer to the idea. We wrestle with it daily." May a ajouté "We don't want to go out and replace Freddie. It would be unseemly, and it wouldn't feel right. But if we can go out in some kind of partnership way, and have some special guests, we'd be up for it. We love Robbie Williams, who's quite a loose cannon but quite a phenomenal artist. George Michael, Elton. It would probably be more than one special guest." L'idée a germé dans la tête de May et Taylor, à la suite d'un concert de charité, donné à Modena, en Italie, en présence de Pavarotti : "The whole audience treated us a like it was 1986 and we were still something to scream and shout about", a déclaré May. Le DVD "Queen Live at Wembley", propose certaines des meilleures chansons de Queen, dont "Bohemian Rhapsody", "We Are the Champions", ou "Under Pressure". Il est disponible depuis le 17 juin.   Siouxsie & the Banshees : CD et DVD Live Sorties prévues le 22 juillet chez Sanctuary Siouxsie & the Banshees qui se sont réunis l'année dernière, pendant une tournée, ont confirmé la sortie d'un CD live et d'un DVD, intitulés "Seven Year Itch", Enregistrement réalisé pendant leurs deux derniers concerts, au "Shepherd's Bush Empire" de Londres. Le groupe a beaucoup changé depuis sa formation, en 1976. Aujourd'hui il est composé, du chanteur Siouxsie Sioux, du guitariste Chandler Knox, du bassiste Steve Severin et du batteur Budgie. Le DVD propose 17 chansons dont une reprise de George Harrison (que l'on retrouve aussi sur le CD), "Blue Jay Way". Selon le manager du groupe, Cold, a renoncé à sa prochaine tournée Européenne, qui devait prendre son départ de Londres le 27 août. Cold aura passé les 4 derniers mois sur la route, faisant la promotion de "Year of the Spider" (Flip/Geffen). Sortie à la fin du mois de mai, cet album a débuté en 3ème position du Billboard 200, et s'est vendu à plus de 208 000 exemplaires aux States. Le single "Stupid Girl", figurant sur l'album, est au top-10 du "Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks" et des "Mainstream Rock Tracks airplay tallies". Lollapalooza, débutera le 5 juillet de Noblesville, et sera animé par les groupes Jane's Addiction, Audioslave, Incubus, Jurassic 5, the Donnas, the Distillers, Queens Of The Stone Age, ou encore A Perfect Circle.   Iron Maiden : un nouvel album enregistré en studio "Dance of Death" est le titre... ...du nouvel album de Iron Maiden. Cet album sera dans les bacs en septembre et a été co-produit par le groupe et Kevin Shirley, qui avait enregistré le dernier album de Iron Maiden "Brave New World", en 2000. En attendant la sortie de cet album, vous pourrez toujours vous procurer, à partir du 15 juillet, un double DVD, intitulé "Visions of the Beast". Iron Maiden sera en turnée cet été, avec Motorhead et Dio. Il profitera sûrement de cette virée pour donné un avant gout de son album, en interprétant certaines de ses chansons. Le leader du groupe Clash, Joe Strummer, emporté prématurément par la Faucheuse, en décembre dernier, nous livre à titre posthume son album "Streetcore". Cet album sortira chez Hellcat/Epitaph, le 7 octobre prochain. Les différentes chansons composant "Streetcore", ont été assemblées par le groupe de Strummer, Mescaleros. On retrouvera sur l'album, "The Road to Rock'N'Roll", écrite par Johnny Cash, ainsi que "Redemption Song" de Bob Marley, produite par Rick Rubin. L'album a été complété par d'autres chansons enregistrées par Mescaleros. Dans un message posté sur le site official du groupe, ce dernier a déclaré : "Up until now we were just putting stuff down to see what works. Now we've got to decide what works and what doesn't." Un hommage a Joe Strummer, a été rendu en février dernier, par Dave Grohl, Bruce Springsteen et Elvis Costello, qui ont interprété "London Calling". En mars dernier, le groupe Clash a été introduit dans le temple de la musique, le "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame". Epic a réjouit les fans des Clash, en sortant un CD et un DVD, intitulé "The Essential Clash".   Dust To Dust et Type O Negative : projet commun Le leader du groupe, Dust To Dust, Rob Traynor, et son compagnon de scène et batteur, Steve Tobin, ont confirmé leur intention de travailler avec le groupe de Brooklyn Type O Negative : "I was approached by [drummer] Johnny [Kelly] and [guitarist] Kenny [Hickey] from Type O Negative and they had told me that they were looking to do something and Kenny had written a couple of songs and he wanted me to lay down bass on it. So I got together with them and I laid down bass and I heard the music and I loved what Kenny was doing and we had talked about getting together in the studio and just jamming and we got together and we jammed and things really started to take off. I mean we really started to write well together. Things really started working out, we started writing a lot of music and that's how the side project came about." 3 chansons ont déjà été enregistrées par les deux groupes : - Broken Sky - Hole Inside - Numb Traynor a ajouté : "The funny thing is, Steve, my drummer, I don't know if you've heard about this, but this is a little tidbit of news that's been floatin' around a bit. But he's actually working on a side project with Pete [Steele, frontman for Type O Negative]. So he's going to be playing drums with Pete. Pete's putting together something on the side. So you've got three-quarters of Dust To Dust playing with members of Type O Negative." Kenny Hickey, guitariste de Type O Negative, a récemment joué avec Dust To Dust, on le retrouve sur le dernier album, produit par le propre label de Traynor, Psyclone Records.
