La poste Autrichienne a commémoré les 40 ans de carrière du groupe, en sortant une série de timbres sur lesquels on retrouve, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts et Ronnie Wood. Cette sortie a coïncidé avec l'arrivée des Strones à Vienne (18 juin). Chaque timbre, d'une valeur de 0.55 euro, a reçu l'approbation des membres du groupe. L'attaché de presse de Stones, a déclaré au Sun : "After 40 years of rock 'n' roll it's not often you get a first. The band are absolutely delighted."   David Bowie : une immense tournée mondiale Sans aucun doute, La plus grande tournée en plus d'une décade. La "Reality world tour" de David Bowie débutera à Copenhagen le 7 octobre et passera par l'Europe, les States, l'Australie et le Japon. Cette virée qui passera par 17 pays, se terminera en mars 2004. Le chanteur fera la promotion de son prochain album, dont la sortie est confirmée pour septembre. Clear Channel Enetrtainment, promoteur de la tournée a déclaré : "This is really his first major, worldwide tour in over a decade," said a spokesman for promoters. He did a handful of markets on Area:2 last year, and he has done select shows here and there, but he hasn't done a world tour in more than 10 years." Bowie a déclaré quant à lui : "Last year's shows were such a tremendous high and the audiences so responsive. My band is playing at the top of its form right now, and it would be foolish not to play a tour this year while we're in such good spirits about the live-show aspects of our work." Dates prévues en Angleterre & en Irlande : * Novembre - 17 Manchester Evening News Arena - 19 Birmingham NEC - 22 The Point, Dublin - 25 Wembley Arena, London La partie Nord Américaine de cette tournée débutera le 4 décembre et sera supporté par les Dandy Warhols   Linkin Park annonce son grand retour sur scène Chester Bennington, deLinkin Park qui a été récemment hospitalisé à Los Angeles, est rétabli et compte bien reprendre du service. La tournée Européenne avait été annulée, 12 concerts supprimés. Bennington a posté un message sur le site du groupe (www.linkinpark.com), annoncant un premier concert à Las Vegas, le 27 juin. Linkin Park participera aussi à la "Summer Sanitarium tour", à laquelle participe aussi Metallica, et Mudvayne, which kicks off on July 4. Chester Bennington a déclaré : "First of all I'd like to thank everyone from fans & bands to my friends, and the hospital staff who have been very supportive and understanding of my situation. I finally got out of the hospital over the weekend after 9 days, and the doctor instructed me to rest for the next 2 - 3 weeks. Right now it seems like it was some bacteria or virus that spread throughout my intestines and body, putting me in intense pain. It also would not let me eat for a week. My doctors and nurses were amazing, and very helpful during my stay. We are working on when we will be making up the missed European headline dates, and I am really bummed we had to miss the festivals. I plan on playing our warm up show in Las Vegas on June 27th, and ripping everyone's face off this summer on SUMMER SANITARIUM. I also wanted to say I truly appreciate the tens of thousands of get-well emails I got from fans. Our fans really are the best in the world." Les Européens devront quant à eux, attendre, le Weekend: Reading And Leeds, prévu les 22 & 24 août, pour revoir Linkin Park.   Dougie Payne de Travis et Neil Primrose pourrait enregistrer un album, avec le parolier et chanteur canadien, Ron Sexsmith. Le 6ème album du musicien, dont le titre provisoire serait "SUGAR BUSH DEMOS". Les deux musiciens, respectivement bassiste et batteur, débuteront l'enregistrement dans un studio londonien, en août. Sexsmith vient de terminer, une tournée américaine, avec Coldplay, passant par le Hollywood Bowl de LA et le Madison Square Garden, de New York. Le prochain album de Travis, qui fait suite à "The Invisible Band" (2001), sera dans les bacs à la fin de l'année. Dougie Payne a déclaré : "We're just about there, I won't say too much but we're getting there. It's all going very well - we're very happy with it so far."
